Though I suppose the thread title is a misnomer a bit, as the first thing I am going to post I like loads partly because of the video.

Although everyone will have probably heard this loads already, it's simply an amazing song and one that even people who aren't into Metal can love.

Fade to Black by Metallica.

Slightly less known but similar as it's a more ballady type song of a metal band is Cemetary Gates by Pantera. This is the live version which is far superior to the album version. If you appreciate guitar playing at all, make sure you the pinch harmonics (they're the bit that sounds like the guitar is squealing). It's quite a hard technique and for someone to nail it live so much as Dimebag (RIP) does it is amazing.

Splendid. That song's on an album called Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy, which has some other excellent tracks on it.

Luth, you like your dramtic and slightly theatrical vocals, don't you? I liked that first track, and the second one has a lovely guitar line in it.

Music. I don't really know who most fo the mentioned bands are. ExCept Arcade Fire and Radiohead.

I think the stuff i like is all quote MOR compared to most of this. I like Maximo Park, and Kings Of Leon particularly at the mo, and am just listening to Them Crooked Vultures to see if I like that.
