True, and he's quite a small cat, he might not withstand the sheer power of a Marmo Fires mammal punch. Her mammal punch is already feared across the breadth of Failsworth. Apparently she slapped an ocelot the other day as well.

Does Puzzler mean Marmalade is a clever girl for planning to punch a velociraptor, or Dolphin is a clever girl for knowing how to spell it?

I suspect he is quoting Jurassic Park where the park warden sees one raptor and is backing away from it and then there are another two behind him or something so he realises that they know how to hunt in packs, so he says "Clever girl" before being ripped to pieces and isn't necessarily calling either Marm or myself a clever girl.

I could be wrong though.

I didn't choose the name Freakoid or the name Dophin Derby. I'm pretty much Lucretia's bitch on this board. She just changes my name to what she wants when I express that I'm bored of it. Apart from she claims the name I want is too long I just don't think she's able to spell Godzilla.

The velociraptors in Jurasic park were shit. They were more like deinonychus. :snooty:

I bet when you first saw it you thought they were great, but you just think they're rubbish having read about raptors actually being the size of chickens on the internet.

I know my dinosaurs. Some of 'em, anyway. Besides, Steven Spielberg, or whoever, should have looked on the internet and found out that velociraptors were fuck all like that. It's pathetic research, quite frankly.

I agree they were far more like deinonychus - but I don't think they had the claw. Far too big for velociraptors and not feathery enough either.

I had a meeting with a bloke from the University today and I was distracted by his tie throughout. At the end I said, "Are those tiny dimetrodon on your tie?" and, without batting an eye, he answered, "No, they're stegos. It's just the weave that makes them look like dimetrodons". Then we shook hands and went about our business.

I thought it might be a guy who is a lecturer and leading paeleontolgist (sp) called Phil something or other; I went to see an open lecture he gave on new techniques that can detect extraordinarily faint traces in rocks that bones have become fossilised in. I think several species of dino have been demonstrated to have feathers using it. He was fab, looked (and sounded) a bit like a slightly better looking version of Simon Pegg, and seemed extremely warm and witty. He was my kind of guy.
